Supermarket tomato's even colour comes at expense of taste.

A genetic mutation introduced into tomatoes to make them ripen more
uniformly might have inadvertently reduced some of the sugar content
that makes them taste good, a team of researchers from the U.S., Spain
and Argentina have found.

I often wondered why some things did not taste as good as they did when I was a child. The tomatoes my father use to grow tasted awesome, now days they are kind of bland.

How absurd. Tomatoes are the best tasting veggie-fruit. In our zeal to make food "perfect and more-healthy" we are taking away taste.

Witness "lean" meats. Now tomatoes.

Farging icewholes.

If you are buying your veggies by price, you get no taste compared to buying locally grown, then grown without poisons, and then grown for cheap and trucked in from 1000's and thousands of miles away.

Buy some fresh Manitoba strawberries and you will understand what the best is. Strawberries from California or South or Central America says shipping goods one week away is lousy for taste.

Go out to J&H Garden shop down Roblin Blvd , get in line because fresh and tasty is very popular.

Visit any Farmers Market if you want the best tasting vegges. Those Manitoba potatoes that I had with cream last week were unbelievable.

Dean, if you pick me up, I will treat you! I still owe you a lunch or breakfast! lol

Heh heh.

I've never shopped for food at Walmart. I've only ever been in a Walmart twice.
