What the heck is up with the Museums windows?

I noticed that there are a few spots on the Museum where instead of the reflective windows they are just plain glass windows. It makes it look real cheesy and odd in my opinion. Anyone have a clue whats up with that?

look on the far right of the top section about 3 up from the start of the section.

keep an eye on that window...see if it changes.

My guess would be it's either a temporary window to keep the weather out till the permanent one comes, or it's specifically designed for interaction with some component inside the museum (ie. a garden/fountain/display)

There are a few of them on the south side too. I am thinking perhaps some sorta specific component thing.. but geez does it ever look bad from the outside. It just jumps out real glaringly. although.. It has potential to look interesting at night when lit up inside.

but, probably just temp because of broken during installation or shipping.. Sad and waiting for a proper one.

You know, that building is just disgustful... Yuk.

It doesn't fit in to Winnipeg's architecture... not one bit...

It'll take alot of trees to hide this monster...

It IS ugly.

I think some people in this city lack the ability to see a truly innovative piece of architecture when they see it. Considering it isn't even finished yet, I would imagine that the final product will be much nicer to look at than what it is now.

Personally I don't particularly care for it, but I can also appreciate the design regardless of my personal tastes. I would say though that it is far from "Disgustful" Considering Winnipeg has zero direction on building design this particular building is a step in the right direction.

of note.... I got a reply. The different windows will be replaced eventually and are temporary only Smile

never asked about why the outcome is so different then initial design though Smile

Honestly I will wait to see the final product before judging the building. From the initial diorama, the glass on the front of the building which I don't think is attached yet is external features.
