Don't the missions provide those resources? Like Salvation Army? Siloam?

eh... only sortaish. Its not as easy as one would think and their resources are fairly limited. I swear there was a program setup in the city along the lines of what I am talking about.. but unfortunately my brainthing is not working so well this morning

not as easy as one would think?

what kind of bull is that?

here's easy...work 40+ hours a week in a dead-end job for minimum wage, buying cheap fattening food, paying rent or a mortgage...JUST to have a place to sleep & shower.

So is THAT easy? Why should it be "easy" for the homeless, most of which are too lazy to actually work. (be clear here...MOST...of which...not all)

I think Siloam requires these people who want a bed and/or shower, to actually sweep the floor and do some laundry...oh...THAT'S so hard.

Add to that, a large percentage of them have been offered jobs, and ways to turn their life around...and they have REFUSED...for no reason other than they didn't "feel" like it.

Yes, there are truly those who need help, and yes, there are those who CAN'T help themselves...and by all means...let's find a way to help them. But in doing so...we need to have the will and fortitude to weed out those who WON'T help themselves...and let them starve in the streets...because they are doing nothing but stealing others lives and livelihoods with their lack of respect for others.
