Teachers: photo radar busted

So, in the mail the other day? A ticket. For me. In this exact spot. Saying I was doing 74. Which is an utter crock of sh1t, as I had just pulled out of the Safeway parking lot, and was turning on to Grant to go up to Cambridge to go home. It's the only time I've turned onto Grant instead of going down Nathanial. There is no way I was that high over the speed limit, that fast, after just turning the corner, after a pedestrian crossed before I turned. No way in hell. Since they didn't pull me over, and disputing it in court is futile, I'm on the hook for over $300. To say I'm pissed off is an understatement. I realize that some people out there think this is justice since clearly I was driving 24K over the limit, but I know I wasn't.

The trial is @ 10am @ 373 Broadway. I'm going to try to get there.

Speaking of tickets - I got one last Wed going west on Grant
just before the Moray Bridge. Ghost car pulls up beside me, the cop gives me a
once over, drops a little back and then behind me. 5 sec later he throws on his
lights. “I’m thinking there is no way I was speeding”. Why did he pull me over?
Because I had a clear cover on my lic plate. He also tells me I have a burnt
out taillight.


Comes back and tells me my front cover is illegal as well
and hands me a $199 ticket. When I exclaim how insane that is, he suggests I am
lucky he didn’t give me a $178 ticket as well for the burnt out taillight.


So needless to say I will be fighting this one when I go
down to 373 Broadway during by window of July 10-24^th. I have
several pictures taken just after the fact that show my cover does NOT violate
the HTA.


The HTA doesn’t say you can’t have a cover, it says the
cover can’t obstruct the lic plate # and jurisdiction.

Best of luck. That cop was merely filling his quota and hoping the sheeple won't fight it. Show him the error of his ways...

$199 is the obscene part of the ticket.

The notes of a Winnipeg police officer who gave a senior a ticket for using a cellphone while driving are being described as "thin" by a company that will represent the man in court.

Len Eastoe, of Traffic Ticket Experts, said Tuesday he has obtained the officer’s notes and will now have a conversation with the Crown’s office about the case.

but but but... the cops came out and spoke up (when they never do) and said.. we have definitive proof of our officers! so there must be more then notes right!?

Thats just.. wow.. really? Thats what the crown went with?
