The first part of the 'residential compliance certificate' (to do with approved inside home renovations last year), did not get through. Anyone knows why did the 2nd part as to location, surveys passed recently? The first has a lot to do with life safety for the occupants where as the latter has nothing to do with safety! Last year I thought it would slow down the gravy train for the realtors, however, this one should also slow it down! no!

If there is one thing we've learned it's that the city/province claim something is "all about safety" when it is "all about revenue".

Radar vans in construction zones? Red light cameras? Police ticket quotas.

Oh, and welcome to the sandbox gato...

I know a few home owners who had to spend above $8,000.00 to correct renovations done wrong. No permits = no inspections. They only found out after purchasing the home.

And now it will be found before they have spent their money.
