I really dont understand what the problem is. We need to change our sex laws.

IF there is nothing wrong with my kids and my kids friends hearing me and the wife go at it, why does it make it so wrong if money was changing hands?

There is a point that the prostitution laws may be out of date, etc, but in so many cases, its not a scene out of "Pretty Woman". There still has to be legal protection against exploitation, through drugs, violence, children etc.

The critical difference is now she is VOLUNTEERING in the business - prior she was making money (tax-free). This oldest business on the planet needs to be legalized - it's not the governments business - other than taxation. I'm sure there would be a waiting list to join this new division of CRA - Inspectors would of course have to go undercover to ensure ALL transactions are going o the books for taxation.

Two problems here Dean. The first is the taxation issue (that's the governments dilemma). Second - the kids over-hearing issue is moot because your wife doesn't make any noise. Just kidding - I had to find a joke somewhere.

Christ no. I thought I was being pithy. I work from home, and often joke that it would be more profitable to have a rub & tug in the basement instead of the 300 sqft of office the gubberment lets me legitimately declare.

I supposed this would be one of the arguments that would favor legitimizing and regulating prostitution: putting a cut back into society via taxes.

Most of the prostitution today is run by organized crime and street gangs. Hard to believe that they would suddenly start filing T2's.



On the other hand, "career day" at local schools would certainly become interesting.Smile
