I've been cleaning up around the house these past few days, and I'm throwing out a lot of old bills, etc., that have information I wouldn't want out in the public. It occurred to me that maybe I should take the advice of a co-worker of mine and get a shredder.

I have a manual shredder - an old stainless steel one I bought on eBay, probably at least 40 years old. Does the job!

I have an electric shredder as well. Want to borrow it? You can also buy them for $35 and up at Staples...

I do have a shredder. The lady of the house insists on shredding anything with our address into tiny little bits. I'm mostly concerned with account numbers and such. I figure my address is public info anyhow.

We have a shredder at home and we use it to shred all of our bills once we've paid them. We then save the shredded paper to use in our fire pit in the back yard. Makes great starter for the pit.

And save the shreds for starting our firepit...they make AWESOME kindle.

Yes, I have a shredder and shred anything that has my personal info on it beyond my address, such as partial credit card numbers, personal identification, paid bills, old tax papers...

I just bought one at Office Depot for $49, plus some oil. It will only shred for 3 minutes continuously but that's way beyond what I need anyway.

I think walmart has them $19.99. I have one that will shred paper, CDs, Ties and human flesh. I really don't think it will stop for anything! Its really is great for getting rid of those nasty little secrets! lol!

I don't burn the paper after I've shredded it. I typically throw it in with the used kitty litter when I dispose of it. Anyone who wants my personal information badly enough to retrieve the pieces after that has earned it in my book.
