you know the worst of it? All that could happen is AT MOST a $10,000 fine for each instance of breaking the rules.
sure.. the election could conceivably be called off and reset.. but the chances of that happening are so remote that everyone in the province would win the lottery before the election would be called off.

is the government supposed to SHUT DOWN during an election?
from what i read...the whole program was being developed for quite some time.
perhaps the timing might make it seem suspect...but i would believe there is paperwork behind the whole program dating back several months (or even years) for development.
It doesn't really make me like or dislike the NDP more...i still think they are freeloaders who claim they are for joe-q-public...but just want to tax anyone who has a job to give away money to those who don't....but this story has no impact on that.

And here's Selinger trying to distract the public by riding the euphoria of the Jets return. Most who responded to the CJOB poll on this issue said that they were fine with it.
On election day, we'll see if enough people are paying attention. Or if, like the past two elections, enough are distracted to allow the NDP to get back in.
