SYDNEY - Australian police appealed to the public Friday for help in solving the gruesome killing of a Chinese man who was shot 34 times in the head and neck with a nail gun before being dumped in a river.

This is an old story I saw on TV-
Comedian entering Australia's airport goes over to the customs official who asks "Do you have a criminal record" Answer- " I didn't realize that one was still needed to get into the country!"

Could it not have been a construction accident?

I hear Jack Layton has introduced a private members bill calling for a federal registry of nail guns so this type of thing won't happen in Canada.

I'd like to see the model of that nailgun.
Since the early 80's, there has not been a nailgun available in North America, that does not have a safety mechanism to keep it from shooting at a distance.

You actually have to press the gun into the wood (or whatever you're shooting) to release the safety...and then pull the trigger.

So either it was an OLD gun, the safety was broken...or someone REALLY wanted that guy dead.

Well, especially with the body-dump...but those things shoot pretty fast.

34 rounds can be fired in about 10 seconds.

Problem isn't with the nailing part...it's all that measuring that has to take place beforehand.
