Two days into the ACTUAL campaign.. it appears that the Freep may have switched sides?

Not only the pics... but details behind some of the election information they are printing (unless its just how badly the NDP press releases are written compared to the PC ones)

check the two pics on the front page right now. Silly looks absolutely wiped right out, like he has given up... hughie is shown in commanding form....

Left media such as Freep and CJOB have both recently (since May) become pro-active with the PC party. Both used to ignore the majority of PC releases and efforts. Both know which way the wind is blowing so they have to begin forming cultivating relations with the next gov't. Lots of advertising revenue at stake. Nothing more than that.

speaking of the freep...what's with them on the streets today?

Coming down Portage I saw about 15-20 "vendors" on the corners.

If they were there every day, I could understand them out there selling the papers...but when they just pop up like that...you'd think it would be a promotion and the papers would be free (they weren't).

Anyone know what a honeybee has to do with the Freep?
Are the honey suppliers sponsoring the vendors in the streets?

I'd imagine the freep is becoming concerned about circulation. They've lowered their quality (and standards) and I'd expect they are losing readers.
