our office ( and I imagine most buildings on my street)

has been notified by the city last week that since they are replacing the water main on our street the water will be on and off at various times for the next FIVE weeks, sometimes we will get notice.. sometimes not.

we just got a notice today that it will be off for sure from 9am to 5pm tomorrow.

umm...is it even legal for me to be in the office working if there is no water for that long?

shouldnt the city be providing a portable tank for events like this?

Don't they normally hookup a temporary connection to a water main/fire hydrant on the next available grid?

What street in what area are you on? I bet that there must be porta potties outside or some thick bushes? Most places have water for drinking??

its rather bizarre actually they say water outages on and off for five weeks...but there is not even any digging going on anywhere yet.. so how they go from zero to ripping sh1t out is beyond me
