Jewish cemetery designates section for dual-faith couples

Interfaith couples can rest in peace together, thanks to plans by a
Conservative synagogue to open up a new section of its cemetery.

"We want to be as inclusive as possible," explains Rabbi
Alan Green of Congregation Shaarey Zedek's recent decision to designate
part of the Armstrong Avenue cemetery for dual-faith couples.

All the evil shiksa wives just breathed a sigh of relief. Their dead mother's in law rolled over in their graves on the other side of the cemetery.

Cemeteries are a waste of space.

Why is it even legal for them to say what religion you must be to buy a plot?

If it's a private cemetery, they can do what they please.

@Sputnik, cemeteries are better than concrete jungles and parking lots. They keep some sort of park/green-space in cities that may otherwise just pave everything over. They're also lucrative holdings in large metro areas - the offsale of the individual plots/niches/columbariums is a mighty pricy piece of real estate.

Is it specifically all jews (culturally), regardless of their religious bent/atheism? Or is ownership of the grounds specific to Orthodox, Conservative or Reform Judiasm? Because there are vast differences in what is considered acceptable/rabinical interpretation. Conservative and Orthodox jews observe the Talmud's command that forbids the wicked to be buried with the righteous. Interpretation? If you're not a jew, you're not fit to be buried with them. Reform jews allow non-jewish spouses to be buried w/ their jewish spouse, interpreting that the "wicked" in that snippet from the Sanhedrin refers to criminals.

Do I make sense? Sometimes I have a hard time explaining theological concepts in a way that isn't hideously convoluted.
