I found it odd that I couldn't find a thread for the 2010-2011 season.

Especially with all the NHL hype about the return of NHL to Winnipeg...AND...the fact that Vancouver (despite their arrogance) are the first real shot of a Canadian team winning the cup in how long?

All that said...I was just joking with a coworker (a DEVOUT Calgary Flames fan)...

Asked him if Vancouver sent Calgary in by mistake last night to their 8-1 loss to the Bruins.

With the series at 2-1...and the huge lopsided score after two VERY tight games...what's your prediction for the finals?

Personally, I think Vancouver will take it in 6...unless they play the way they played last night.

I think 16+ Canadians will take the cup home to their home town no matter who wins in how many games.

I'm sorry if that makes me seem anti-Canadian. I'm a Jets fan, and I will never EVER forget or forgive the Canucks franchise for the 1992 playoff elimination. If ANY Jets team was going to go deep in the playoffs, it was the 91/92 Jets.

Vancouver in six, as much as I'd like to see Boston win it, it's Vancouver's series to lose.

Anyone else find it strange that Vigneault left Luongo in for all eight goals though? I know Roberto didn't want to leave the game, but there's having an off night, and then there's letting in eight goals ( D didn't help much either mind you ).

well, looks like whoever voted 7 is going to win...

just a question if it's Vancouver or Boston

Vancouver has the SLIGHT edge of having won their home games so far...but....

considering Vancouver's wins have all be squeakers, and Boston's wins have been blowouts...it's still anyone's game...

Though my wife believes it's all rigged by the NHL to boost viewership & money...and that Boston was set to win all along.

Vancouver has not won a single game in the series yet. Will they stand up and win the last one?

I doubt it. Boston might lose, but its doubtful that Vancouver will win.

If Vancouver wins 1-0... who would get the Conn Smythe?

Can you really have an MVP with a negative plus/minus in the series or a goalie with a GAA over 4.00 and a save PCT under .900?

Thomas will win. Luongo had an outside chance before last night's game. Prior to the final, I would have Thomas and Luongo at 50/50.

As much as I dislike Bieksa I think he has a shot at MVP. Only if they win tonight. And only if Thomas stinks the joint out.

Who will it be tonight??? Will the Canuckleheads finally win the cup? Or will Boston be victorious? They've each won 3 games a piece at home...Vancouver has home ice advantage.

I'd LIKE Boston to win (more to the point, I'd like Vancouver to LOSE). However, I fear Vancouver will win. Which coincidentally is what I predicted earlier in this thread: Vancouver in 7.

Good to see some other people rooting for Boston! Tim Thomas deserves to hoist the cup. The home ice advantage and Olympic host superstition leans towards a Vancouver victory.
