how many season tickets will be sold?

My expectation for tomorrow is much of the low end tickets will go. Perhaps another 3,000 seats. Assuming I'm correct, that will leave about 6,000 tickets for the remaining 1.2 million Manitobans and anyone else to purchase beginning at noon Saturday. They will be selling tickets that day until 9PM.

I won't be surprised at all to see that drive fully subscribed at that time.

I was filling up at CO-OP on Henderson today and the guys pumping gas were discussing their plan to split pair of seats for a half-season between 4 friends where each of them would go with one of the other friends.

So much for NHL hockey being only for the wealthy.

At the end of the day their cost is like $100/month which is about what some people spend on a shirt or a night at the bar.

I have a feeling the seasons tickets will be sold out before Sunday.

yup. so many people doing that its almost insane. we will have 4 guys sitting at work on Saturday trying to buy ours... pretty sure if its not sold out by then, season tickets WILL be sold out within 1 hour of going public.

If you were really smart you would have predicted 20 minutes not an hour...

We have two season tickets in P6. 40 games plus pre-season. We have sold off a pair of 10 games, a pair of five games, and a single for five games. This leaves me with twenty games plus pre-season and my buddy with twenty-five games plus pre-season.

TNSE went on after the sell-out to add more than 8,000 names to a waiting list. I understand they are charging $50 for this.

All tickets were sold out in 17 minutes, but another NHL site is saying more like 4 minutes. I know several family members and friends that were feverishly trying to get tix, but were SOL at like 12:03. They went that fast.
But but but, there is no corporate support in Winnipeg...........the arena is too small.................Winnipeggers are too cheap and won't shell out for NHL tickets..................players won't want to play there........................blah blah blah

Kinda nice to prove the negatrons were so wrong. Most of them have been invisible this past week. I love rubbing it in their faces and shouting "told ya so".

While the Drive to 13 website says that all tickets were sold in 17 minutes, on the NHL.com it says they were completely sold out in 4 minutes. Here is the article:

PS, I'm hearing the waiting list has 16,000, but many are saying it's capped at 8,000. Has anyone heard anything official about this?

Well, actually proud owner of 10-20 games of P3 tix

we planned on doing a 4 person split of 2 tx, we had 3 ppl when we bought the tix, the 4th said - let me think about it.

we have a 5-10 person wait list if the original 4th person approached backs out.

One calculation I saw said that if you don't have season tix, it will be quite a while until you get off the wait list.

Something like if you are no. 2000 on the wait list you have a minimum 10 year wait.

Maple Leafs? Apparently they had 24 people who didn't renew their tix for last year.

Got P6, extremely happy!! I believe they were sold out in 4 minutes, my transaction was finished at 12:01 at 12:05 I tried again and every single price point had no availability.
I listened to CJOB all morning and they said they were not many P3 or P4 or P7 left, I had wanted P6 and that's what I went for. I think those that tried different price points wound up getting nothing unless they worked as a team. The waiting list was up at 18,000 at one point but True North said they made a decision right then to cut it off at 8000. I think they too, were surprised by the demand!

You might well be right. We planned on P6 from the get-go and only followed that course. Perhaps that's why we were successful and others were not. Good point.

I wonder if any other "new"team out there is sold out for a guaranteed 3 years?

BTW I understand Columbus Blue Jackets were required to presell 12,000 season tickets. I'd be very surprised if they sold that many as quickly as TNSE did our tix...
