Welcome to the big leagues guys, and rightfully so.

I am decorated with Jets gear at work, and of course am getting snarky congratulations from some of my co-workers, as expected.

As to the whiners and naysayers........too bad so sad. They are back. Deal with it.

You can buy up to the amount of seats that you originally bought as a season ticket holder for the Moose ( up to a limit of eight seats ). Mini pack ticket holders can buy up to four seats.

Moose season ticket holders get to start picking tomorrow and it ends Friday night.

That's about the daily take home earnings of the average wage earner. So put in a good day of work and blow it on a cheap seat at the game ... makes sense.

Its true minimum wagers wont be going to NHL games much.

But lots of people make $49 by first morning coffee or sooner and will be getting $129 primo seats by lunch!

I'll have to admit...I'm looking forward to the NHL a bit.

Our office has had season tickets for Moose games for several years, and my boss said today he's ready to buy NHL tickets starting tomorrow....

Typically, they go around twice per season and offer tickets to the employees...so I should get to attend at least two games this year for free Smile (minus the $8 beer, $5 pretzel, $6 hotdog (x4))

The wifey and I are seriously considering buying a pair of half season tickets. The major draw back for us is the fact that we have young kids that would always require a babysitter and I have a pretty unpredictable work schedule. But I think we will be able to make it work......I hope!

One think to consider is sharing some of those games with friends and relatives when unable or willing to attend a game. I dare say you'll have no trouble finding takers the first few years. And even less trouble after they win their first Stanley Cup in 2016.

Scott Brown was on RCR this morning, he said they are capping it at 13,000, also said that single game tickets will be approx 40% more than what they would cost if you purchased seasons.
I feel that's resaonable, protects the season ticket holder from having a person sitting next to them that paid half as much for their ticket

I'm surprised they are capping it at 13k. I would have thought they'd hold 500 or maybe 1000 tickets. Not 2000.

I dont understand how thats possible. 40% extra seems pretty steep to me.

so anyhoo.. since the 13K holds true.. AND we all know that it will sell out before EOD Sunday. Does June 17 sound cool for Lunch for USApegger and Mantha?

1870 seats sold on the first day - so not all of the about 2000 moose season seats have upgraded early.

Thats what I heard reported somewhere - around 2000 season ticket holders. Average attendance was about 7200. So they will have to at least double attendance, at a higher price. Good thing is that there will be plenty of seats for non-Moose fans.

The Meese ticket holders and advertisers have until Friday to take advantage of this presale. They've broken the ticket holders into 8 categories with today dedicated the only the very most loyal fans for the past 15 years. Tomorrow they open it up to another group of ticket holders. Lastly on Friday they open it up to the mini-pak holders.

Apparently tomorrow will be a real test. But almost 1900 in the first 3 hours to a very small select group is a very good barometer me thinks...

I sure hope they get to 13,000.
My 33 year old son is trying to get a group together to share seats.
NHL hockey back in Wpg!! That is fantastic!
Those prices at $39 are a steal, aren't they? How is the view from that area?

If I understand correctly Moose season ticket holders can purchase tickets in
two different categories. Up to 4 if you had a certain number of Moose Season
tickets. Up to 8 if you had more than that certain amount.

So of the possible 2000 tix available yesterday 1876 sold.
That 2000 available does not represent 2000 current Moose season tickets. It
represents at maximum 500 Moose season ticket holders and probably less.

The estimate is that 45% of the 13,000 (5,858) could be sold
by Sat, leaving 7,150 for the general public.

The 13,000 will be sold by the end of the weekend.

Of course, that’s if the servers at True North don’t
crash at 12:01pm Saturday from the demand.

My expectation for tomorrow is much of the low end tickets will go. Perhaps another 3,000 seats. Assuming I'm correct, that will leave about 6,000 tickets for the remaining 1.2 million Manitobans and anyone else to purchase beginning at noon Saturday. They will be selling tickets that day until 9PM.

I won't be surprised at all to see that drive fully subscribed at that time.
