That being said I hope CJOB gets the broadcasting rights. 1290 is just horrible to listen to. Who cares about American college basketball?

He was right, the Jets aren't coming back. The Jets are still in Phoenix, we have a new team not the one that left in the 90's.

I listen to power 97 almost every morning and I never heard them mocking the return of the NHL...because they didn't believe it would happen is not mocking anything. I didn't believe it would happen either...I'm glad it did. It's a great thing for Winnipeg.

Exactly. I have heard it a ton of times. And it really irritated to me to hear Wheeler rag on our city, when he isn't even from Winnipeg.

Wheeler is annoying...I miss Hal Anderson on power 97. Bj & Hal were the best!

BJ & Hal were the height of that station. Any combo that has tried to follow in their footsteps has failed miserably.

Not a bit Wheeler fan at all. Especially the in between whistle bits he did @ the Moose games.
