We all could use a little bit more of socialism on this forum.
It is so depressing to see the hard hearted Conservative mantra spewing forth!

The Conservatives are at 35 per cent support nationally, with the NDP at 30 per cent and the Liberals at 22 per cent.

But note the poll - it's a poll done over a one week period. So it is possible the results could vary dramatically within the 1 wk period.

The polls are a bit deceptive too unless they are on a riding-by-riding basis. Which I understand is not allowed. So the poll results are no more than a popularity contest.

Everybody knows then that the polls really only measure the mood of the country and can't be used to base an eventual outcome on.

yeah I am thinking that polls should be outlawed completely, they are more damaging to the electoral process then reporting east coast election results on the west coast ever could be.

But they are accurate. Nanos was right-on last election.

However, they are a slice in time only but can indicate a trend.

But it gets down to who is doing the poll imo.

Polls are very accurate- Why would anyone try and ban them? My friend in advertising loves them, as the politicians react to the polls, and swing their dollars to make a very more accurate, needed negative campaign!

I can't seem to find it again, but I thought that I read that the Free Press has endorsed Harper and the Conservatives.

Anyone else read that?

It was the National Post.

It's been a real shitty-ish couple weeks on the TSX. I suspect the stock market is uncertain about where this country will be next week. They are likely growing nervous of the unthinkable...

If the PCs win with a majority watch the stock market bounce back big time, and then some. If the unthinkable happens, and jack is elected king, watch the market drop like a lead balloon.

Ummmm, don't the socialists have savings too? Why would they want them jeopardized?

for the good of the many of course.

but dont worry the NPD will top up any pensions that are impacted by lower stock values.

Don't worry.
If the NDP win the Federal election, they can always ask for some assistance for planning their first budget from their provincial counterparts in Manitoba. Wink

Heh...ya. ....and Jacko used these buffoons as an example of what an NDP government can do to a budget. Un-fricken-believeable!!!

Using a Finance Minister that cannot tell the difference between a deficit and a balanced budget is soooo NDP. Fuu ucken idiots.

Maybe they're looking for opportunities to buy low on the market like Harper suggested back in '08 or '09. It's been their agenda all along, muahahahaha......all the socialists have already pulled out of the market and are just waiting to cash in on the crash. lol!

Just having some fun, sorry I couldn't resist.

Let us check the records of the Conservatives and the Liberals-results are all bad according to the smart posters from this forum! lol
Who cares if the NDP have a chance to make their influence? Seems to me the only reason we have a paid medical system, as well as insurance from being unemployed is because of the NDP and their balance of power!
The 2 above are good things, in my opinion!
