This weather sucks! It makes it so difficult to go out and do anything especially when you have little ones. It looks as though there is no end in sight.

Edmonton set a new record last night; -36.1C without windchill. And yes, there is no end in sight.

As did Calgary I believe. And Vancouver was BELOW zero and snowing. Sputnik and Zwikster must be having difficulty thinking up a holier-than-thou comeuppance for us lowly Winnipeggers. Heh he he...

Ha, those two live in cities full of sissies and pansies who brag about such wonderful climates. Well, I can tell you no sympathy here as the rest of us know how to deal with true winter conditions, lol!

I just got in from my daily winter bike ride, the Transcona tour from Pandora to Plessis to Kildare to Wayoata to home, cold or warm or hot don't let the bast**d win and you'll do just fine.

Saw a newsclip from Vancouver on the weekend. It was pissing down rain. I'll take what we have any day over that.

Really? I can't stand Vancouver's winter. I've been there many many times in December, January and February...I felt chilled to the bone. Same with Ottawa....I was there a few years back for x-mas and it was such a damp cold, I was still shivering 15 minutes after being indoors. I can't stand damp cold.

I grew up on the east coast so that's what I'm used to . I find the cold out west very cutting.

Years ago, I was on course with the Army in the Annapolis Valley in November. It was damp and cold. Couldn't warm up for the life of me. Long underwear, sweater, parka, always cold. My boots would never dry. It was good to get home to ten below weather.
