Good! It's about time he start stepping up his game. He needs make himself more visible to the public and get his message out there, especially in Winnipeg, if he wants to succeed. I hope he wins, and big; maybe this will help catapult Manitoba out of it's socialist state that it is currently trapped in.

He needs to warm up he is seen as cold and hard by women from what I hear . I agree do not sink to bashing tell me exactly what you are going to do to fix the mess.

But seriously...Hugh has an incredible opportunity, imo, as he has sooooo much crap to choose from in highlighting the NDP's failures. Crocus...Bipole lll...stadium....etc.

Tell me what your going to do about it not how bad it is or has been as I all ready know that. It is time for politicos to start to give and show why they should and could make a difference . Non of them will solve Hallway medicine least the feds are on board at the table . So leave that out lets look at Welfare it sucks up millions or billions every year.

What about the over bloated bureaucracy

What I do know about Hugh McFayden is that he is not the leader of a party that
1) has been in power far too long
2) hasn't had an original thought for at least a decade if not more
3) doesn't give a sh1t about the state of the economy or know what to do about it
4) thinks the solution to everything is to throw more money at one of their favourite special interest groups

Other than that, I don't know much about him.

Some people believe that if you don't like something you can find a way to change it. I like to think my volunteering on several different election campaigns makes a difference. Ditto writing letters to those we've elected. Others participate in a more impactful grassroots level such as Jondo and his red light camera campaign.

Others believe that there is no sense in trying to change so they don't bother. Worse they promote their philosophy to others.

Perhaps this is how apathy takes root.

5) has been in power during one of Canada's greatest economic times and believes they are responsible for all the good times.

Personally, I tire of politicians who promise a chicken in every pot and a Volkswagon in every garage. I understand how the system works, and I'm more interested in the philosophy of the party and the person, rather than some obscure campaign promise to build more community centres or end hallway medicine. I've seen what the NDP have and haven't done, and the reality is, it hasn't worked. Its time for a change, and while I might like the idea of the reincarnation of Ronald Regan being elected Premier of Manitoba, that ain't going to happen, so I'll support the choice that best reflects my personal philosphy.
