I personally think he has this last tax thing is enough, and the favoritism shown to his friends and that is what it is . I think he might have more to offer then some of us realize, I spent some time talking to him at a function once and I really liked some of the thinking he shows.

If Vandal runs for Mayor, I'll vote for Katz. I agree that Katz hasn't lived up to expectations, but Vandal is part of that left wing crowd that will continue to favour the union and tax the crap out of us. This city has enough trouble attracting and keeping business without lefties at the helm at the municipal level.

Telling some dumbass councillor to screw off would get me banned I'd reckon. Laughing
I just hope that some one will emerge that will be in it for us and not themselves. Here's hope'n.

I think a guy like Larry McIntosh from Peak Of The Market or perhaps David Northcott might fit the mayors chair nicely. Both have done ample good for the city and know how to market a product like Winnipeg.

C'mon JTF, I bet you would just love to sit in meetings with Lillian Thomas screeching at you. Your biggest issue would be trying to keep Harry Lazarenko awake.

I think Larry McIntosh would be a great mayor. He's used to dealing with a bunch of vegetables so handling council would be a breeze for him.
Kidding aside, I truly think McIntosh should be approached by those with influence to get him on board.

Imagine Gail Asper running for mayor. Maybe she could get us a new city built. Change the name to Global City or CanWest City. She can get her brothers to chip in, maybe convince some other billioniars to donate some coin to Winnipeg. Hell even get RUSH to donate a portion of T-shirt sales to fund the new City.

She could also hire the guys from "Queer Eye" to design the city. That way we would get lots of vacationers from Vancouver and San Francisco.
