should the riverboat be freed at our expense?

so...is this boat going to be able to dock after the river levels are raised? Right now, they dock near the Louise bridge, but have to move every rain storm (it seems) to some place higher....this owner was bitching about this increased costs associated with that, plus the fact many of his customers were having a hard time finding the boat.

Is he going to b1tch about that, and get compensated for the feds artificially raising the water levels too?

This boat hasn't docked at the Louise Bridge for some time now. The River Rouge was bought by the Paddlewheel group and docks at the Alexander Docks when they can. Most recently they have been docking at the Redwood docks. I haven't been on either of these boats for many years because of the ownership/shoddiness of the company. I graduated from Jr High School in the late '70s and returned to the River Rouge for a day care excursion in the late '80s and nothing had changed, including the captain. I then went on another tour in the mid '90s as part of a course in University and again everything was the same.

Bezan, in politico speak, has said that raising the water levels to help get this boat out of trouble won't affect the river levels in the city, including the river walk. And he knows this how... from sitting on his a$$ in Ottawa???

Water level up 4" and the boat is out. Did not need the use of the tugboat. Feds said that they couldn't close the locks at Lockport because of the rate of waterflow was too high.
Riverboat people knpw about the shallowness of the government, and the fact that many areas are very shallow, and that is why it is risky.
