Thursday is Canada Day. Who get's both Thursday and Friday off to enjoy an extra-long weekend?

I see another couple of sandbox peeps also have next week off, as do I. Anyone have any exciting plans?

Someone used the word "stay-cation". That is my plan for next week. Stay in Winnipeg, get caught up on some chores and basically recharge the batteries.

Heh... a lot of people are celebrating Canada Day by going shopping in The States. That's soooo Canadian eh.

R&R Thursday, two rounds of golf Friday, Tool concert Sunday. Watch AT&T National Golf Tournament (Tiger's tournament) and do some serious recharging of batteries after 7 concerts in 12 days with 8 in July. Would also like to chillax and catch up on some reading.

My holidays start July 1st. My plan is to do some work around the house, maybe head up to the Whiteshell for a day or two and take the kids on some fun family type activities.

Hopefully I'll be finishing my daughter's room on Thursday.

Working Friday (trade-off with my boss).

Then the weekend will be moving her into her bedroom (finally)...she's been sleeping in a make-shift room since February.

I almost forgot about Jazzfest...I will head there Friday for lunch, thanks anny! I plan on taking the kids to see Shrek on Friday night, I think I am more excited then they are. Smile

To all of you who have kids Toy Story 3 was awesome and I highly recommend it.

Two quick things Goth..

1. For TS 3... your kids are young.. are the 3D glasses a problem?

2. GOOD NEWS!!! I can make the BBQ after all, so just PM me your addy and I will be there!

We chose the non 3d version. My kids are 4 years old and would never keep those glasses on.

Mmm I love stay-cations. I also have no choice because I'm too poor to get anywhere. This week we're going to take advantage of some free swimming at the pool and then we're coming in to the city to visit Grandma for a few days. I'm also thinking of maybe going out to party with some friends that are passing through town....if they make it in on time.
