I guess the joke was only funny in your head.

Is it infantile that I find the restoration and saving of that house pointless and a waste of taxpayer money?

Is it infantile that I think that we as a society should be building more infill homes and strong communities instead of preserving historic shacks and greenspace and turning them into public monuments of former communities and spaces?

Is it infantile to believe that restoring the Barber house won't have as great an impact on our society compared to the addition of 200+ middle class people moving into Point Douglas. Sure. You can have your empty old museum or new people in your community. I would rather have people than old ghosts and vague memories.

"You might as well be dead when your memories are bigger than your dreams" - Sputnik's grandmother.

Christ....I was making a reference to construction and demolition desires.....Tonka Toys popped into my head......what is infantile about Tonka Toys....I think they are cool.

As to your above-stated ideas then why the hell did you not articulate that before making what could be construed as denigrating remarks about this area, the house etc....????
