The ones I like the best are the ones who ask where we hid something , when it is right in front of them if they open their eyes .

Sounds like you hate your customers. Wrong business maybe?

Yeah...phrasing it that way "Where'd you hide the...?"
is pretty rude.

Although I've often asked for help finding something (in stores the same as yours Pav), only to be pointed to the obvious item sitting on the shelf in front of me.

I'm always courteous and thank whoever helped me sincerely.

But realized not long ago that it's not that "obvious" to see something on the shelf...when your eyes are glazed over by the other 10,000 items you've looked at before getting to that item. And reading EVERY product item/description is unreasonable in that situation.

And, I've been in situations where I've asked for help, and the sales person couldn't find it either...though a moment later I see it on the shelf myself (having walked by it a few times already).

But I'll defer the "rude" statement above to my mother-in-law...as she basically buys the same things every week/month...and when she enters a store and something has been moved (even a little further down the aisle), it completely throws her off...and would probably utter that comment trying to find it.

That just happened to me.

I was in Home Depot just before Christmas looking for sandpaper. Walked up and down the isles I thought it was in, could not see it. Asked the worker at the end of the isle I was in, and was told it was in the other end of the store, by the power tools.

I go there, do a couple laps around the isles and see nothing. Started wondering if they even sold it. Waited five minutes for the guy working that isle to finish with another customer and asked him. He told me they were in the isle I started in. I thought, hang on, a guy there just sent me here, now your sending me back?

Yup, back to where I started. For some reason, I could not see it, until it was pointed out (neither could the first guy I asked either).

As for the comments of the hordes of people bringing their uncontrolled children, stopping three abreast in an aisle and not paying attention to what is going on around them is not unique to Sundays. I come across this crap every day of the week and not just at Safeway, Super Store, Costco or Walmart. I've encountered this stupidity at Shoppers. As for the parking too close to your drivers door, happens in every parking lot at any type of store or facility. I have come to the realization that people today have thrown common courtesy out the window and have become so selfish and egotistical that it is now just a me attitude. Not every one is like that but the polite, mannered individual is slowly becoming extinct. It is not very often that I walk up to a business in a group and someone holds the door for those who are following because that is the polite thing to do. And if I happen to hold the door for a group of say 7 people, maybe 2 will say thank you, sometimes none. I know that this is going off topic but it does tie back into the inconsiderate people who shop on Saturday, stopping in the middle of the aisle, parking too close and generally not caring about anyone but themselves.
