is pretty rude.

Although I've often asked for help finding something (in stores the same as yours Pav), only to be pointed to the obvious item sitting on the shelf in front of me.

I'm always courteous and thank whoever helped me sincerely.

But realized not long ago that it's not that "obvious" to see something on the shelf...when your eyes are glazed over by the other 10,000 items you've looked at before getting to that item. And reading EVERY product item/description is unreasonable in that situation.

And, I've been in situations where I've asked for help, and the sales person couldn't find it either...though a moment later I see it on the shelf myself (having walked by it a few times already).

And if I happen to hold the door for a group of say 7 people, maybe 2 will say thank you, sometimes none. I know that this is going off topic but it does tie back into the inconsiderate people who shop on Saturday, stopping in the middle of the aisle, parking too close and generally not caring about anyone but themselves.
