I would never buy a house next door to MB Housing. I don't know of anyone who would.

Just so I'm clear, we are talking about a single family house owned and operated by Manitoba Housing?

Or are we talking about a multiple family building owned and operated by Manitoba Housing?

Clarity is so important when we get all indignant...

100% agreed.

Heck there are many single MB housing houses out there that most people dont even realize are MB Housing.

I know almost all of my neighbours and there is no MB Housing on my side of the street. We have a mixture of young married couples with children and retired folk. I lived in PD at one time and we knew which houses on our street were MB Housing and which ones were not.

I think JTF was referring to the big MB Housing complexes, not single family dwellings.

Actually, any MH project. They have a poor reputation regarding all their properties.

Ask any realtor if your home's value is affected by such a neighbour and the answer will be in the affirmative. It will, indeed, have a negative effect.

If the MB Housing units were unnoticeable, how could they possibly negatively affect property values on the street?

Generally the houses affecting property values are VERY noticeable.
