Business people aren't going to relocate here if we maintain this crippling, anti-business payroll tax.

I wonder if the NDP are going promise to kill it as a campaign promise.

And they are increasing the minimum wage? Talk about killing jobs.

Goodbye, NDP.

I suspect that for the Tories to have some measure of success here, even with the NDP making the changes that they are lately, that a new leader is in order. Mr. McFadden could use some advice IMO.

agreed.

sure Doer waited in the wings as the leader of the NDP before they had majority, but he was vocal, he attacked the government effectively and regularily enough that people knew who he was.

The Conservative's in Manitoba would easily win this next election if only their leader would start taking loud issue with everything that needs address - just like Doer did for a few years before winning. I got so used to seeing and hearing Doer in the media (before he won) that it was though he was the Premier. What the hell is Hugh doing? It's as though he doesn't want the job of Premier.
