It is the same here, and Katz needs the money to cover his "no increase in taxes" policy!
Look at the annual budget and look at the yearly increase in dollar volume- That is from all the user pay increases!
Wpg is no longer the highest taxed City, and good for Mayor Katz. That has brought 1,000's of newcomers to Wpg to locate and start working here.

And if you don't pay the license fee, then vets in the city aren't supposed to treat your animal.

And the city could/might take your dog away from you.

And what are they going to do with it if you don't pay & claim it? Probably euthanize it.

I got a hand-delivered notice a few weks ago that threatened me with a heavy fine for not licensing my dog Bingo...who died Sunday, April 10, 2005.

We've been licensing our other dog Missy regularly so it wasn't that kind of screw-up. Very strange eh....but the need for ca$h makes sense....they were probably going through old records to see if they could "bust" anyone for running amok with the law. Smile

yeah I was reading the City's rules

YOU MUST provide proof your dog was euthanized. WTF? Nothing at all to deal with NATURAL CAUSES


"If your dog is deceased, Animal Services Agency will require proof
of euthanasia. If that is not available to you, your letter of
request should include the name of the veterinarian clinic that
cared for your dog and the date that your dog was euthanized."

When we got the renewal form after Bingo died, I wrote a note telling of it. That was the last I heard till that letter. Never received another renewal for him from them either.

I really dont like this whole alarm permit renewal fee.

So.. lets not provide a safe place to live such that people will want to go and get an alarm. Hmm.. but we dont make money off of not keeping the city safe. OH I KNOW!!! lets demand that they renew their permit every few years because that totally makes sense.


Money grubbing bastards. How about we just stop wasting money?
