Point Douglas natives SAY NO TO CRIME

I had to cut through that area delivering plans for some work to a guy and my car was blocked by some residents, and when I swerved around then there was a gun shot at my car. This was very late at night saturday. I was supposed to drop the plans into his mailbox.
I have a bullet hole in my window as proof.
Is point Douglas considered part of the North End, because I also had a problem with a "lady" a couple of years ago, and also had to involve the police!

Jesus! I can't believe something like that would happen to an unsuspecting car. I thought i lived in a bad neigbourhood.. i see hookers and cops nearly every day going out and coming home. Just waiting for the gangbangers to get in here and that would be it -- id move (good apartment block or not).

That Point Douglas area is pretty scary, and yet the actual street that guy lives on, looks incredibly well maintained. As nice as I have ever seen , so is there different parts that are really bad? That article made it seem safe, and I know MizP claims it is so, but I seem to remember MizP talking about having "words" with drunks behind her house, unless it was she who was drunk, and others were having words with her? I don't remember! I always thought that the whole area was in pretty rough shape. I used to shop at Sutherland Supply, many, many years ago, and the area seemed pretty rough at tht time.
Is PD safe?

Rosen was pulling your chain......Point douglas, my part of it, is gorgeous, quiet and reasonably crime-free except for parts of Austin between Euclid and Selkirk and Lorne and Lisgar and OH - that grow op that got nailed a few nights ago near Euclid and Hallet....

Compared to the shite I dealt with for many years, we are in good shape because the scales are being tipped towards more homeowners rather than renters and a wide-ranging demographic moving into my area, the traditional area of PD and not to be confused with the ward of PD?

Point Douglas is gorgeus except for parts of Austin between Euclid and Selkirk, and Lorne and Lisgar and OH that bgrow op near Euclid and Hallet , which is only about 87% of the area!

WINNIPEG — Three people were taken to hospital in stable condition earlier this evening following an altercation in Point Douglas.

Winnipeg Police confirmed an incident took place on Lisgar Avenue but police said it was under investigation and there were no details to be released at this time.
