I totally agree with the idea of cutting the 10% mailers.
But if you are going to say that the idea is getting ‘the short shrift’ can you
please back that up? Or is this another media invented BS story?

I fully agree with ending ALL government funded advertising. It is almost entirely self-serving and is a huge waste of money.

I don't catch your point though St Norberter. What is it that irks you so?

Are you suggesting they should explain what they mean by the Conservatives giving the Liberal issue no or little attention? What is the BS aspect?

Explain how? Did they have a scrum where they say they wouldn't support this? Did they heckle this during question period? Did they respond by stating how important these are?

There is nothing in the article to lead one to the conclusion that this is being given 'the short shrift'

The governing party ALWAYS spends more on advertising like that, whether its Fed or Prov.

It seems the opposite holds true in the states and other places though as the opposition actually has a clue and an opinion and attempts to talk to voters about it.

..in both cases the governing party is doing a decent job of promoting its image and in both cases the opposition is all.. bl blblblbl uh ... oh wait DONT SPEND MONEY PROMOTING YOUR IMAGE.... instead of ... OUR IMAGE IS!!!!....

its like opposition parties dont exist right now at either level.
