Two days? How about immediate. The Chief's have said they're split on the decision (don't ask more questions you racists) so the answer will be the usual - the "system" needs more funding and less interference from outsiders looking into their activities and spending. How dare we?

Yes the system is wrong but to get the older population to change it, is difficult but it is happening . Most of the native people have never known democracy in its true form , so it is foreign to some to question Chiefs who have had free rein for way to long .
Their are changes happening slowly but then it is better then never , 4 days can not teach you nearly enough. You have to learn the cultural differences and how they work . It is to bad that given the chance the Chiefs have set the movement back so badly .

Whats democracy have to do with Chief's interferring with children's well being and misdirecting money?? Oh, right, it doesn't, but that's part of the smokescreen to cover the real issue.

No it is part of the chiefs having to much control over their bands and not enough people having the power to rid them
