i dont understand how this city operates some times. The crash at Keewatin and Manitoba that closed the Northbound keewating for numerous hours yesterday.
Northbound and southbound are two lanes each way. Why is it that the city can not respond immediatly to something like this and instead of redirecting one lane of traffic all over hell's half acre... they do something smart and take one of the lanes from a double lane and make it go the other way? A few signs and TADA!! there would have hardly even been a noticable impact on traffic in anyway. Just no passing.
And this happens all to frequently. They have some sort of major occourance that will be "snarling" traffic in only one direction and they deal with it as if it would somehow break the laws of physics to make traffic go the "wrong" way for a while.
Luckily most people had heard of the accident and took an alternate way home last night so in fact I was not that much later at all getting home. But a better reaction to things like this would be a wiser thing to do.
