There's potentially a lot of money in jaywalking. Happens all the time, easy to catch and is easily sold as a "safety" enforcement issue.
Problem is - those people don't have licenses on their backs. Makes it difficult to mail them an invoice. Plus, if they don't own a vehicle - what're the chances they have any cash to give up? Doesn't sound like the right business mix. Wrong market. Too much on the expense side of this equation.
Let's stay focused on where the real dangers are - those slow and go stop sign offenders in Southdale. Those decent people need protection. And they pay their bills!
Sad state that policing is in when the actions are this brazen. Society just got a whole lot more dangerous and most don't even know it.
