I had heard that... it was a storage facility housing containers, not the actual brewery that burned.

Now, if the St. James' Gate brewery and Brouwerij Van Steenberge both burned down, I'd have no reason to go on...

I'll be working to clean up a spill that happened on Monday just outside Lloydminster, Alberta. A rig truck t-boned a super-B carrying diesel and eventually exploded and spilled out right on the Yellowhead. This apparently made National News on CTV, so no pressure to do a good job here!

Ugh... I hope they give you a decent respirator. I've had the misfortune of cleaning several litres of winter diesel off our shop floor, so I can only imagine what it's like on a bigger scale. Small consolation, but at least it's outdoors.

Tonight is round one of prep.....roasting peppers for a tapenade, washing and trimming spinach, par cooking bacon, making cilantro pesto, making herbed butter, making cookie dough, making two quiches, thawing out ribs to marinade for cooking tomorrow night.....hmmmmmm
Tomorrow? Building a cranberry bread, making flavoured cream cheese, an eggplant spread, baking a spanikopita......baking the cookies.....
oh yeah and drinking

I've been fighting off the urge to indulge in Turkish Coffee again tonight. Been craving it all day, and I'm afraid if I do, I won't get any sleep tonight... better put the ibrik away so I won't be tempted.

Believe it or not, Turkish coffee is one of the very few things I wouldn't sully with alcohol.
Regular coffee sure, but Turkish Coffee to me is what the Tea Ceremony is to some Japanese.

In Bosnia I called it Turkish rocket fuel......man, I could walk for hours after knocking back three or four of those suckers, chased down with some baklava.....yum
