I laughed so hard when I read this.

And she honestly thinks she can win? She is truly nuts!

But, let's not criticize too much, we'd hate to have her change her mind and run in Elmwood again. Let her run for mayor and lose, then we'll be rid of her and she'll have to get a real job.

Now, if we could only get rid of Smith, O'Shaugnassey, Lazarenko we'd be in much better shape

so far there are two councillors for sure NOT running this coming election. And from what I hear, possibly at least two more although that may be slightly incorrect as they will run and then step down when the provincial election comes the following year. The following election 2014 ( or sooner) will see Sam Katz stepping down ( at least that is what he has said previously) as well as another 3 members of council have also committed to not running again in 2014 because they so firmly believe in Term limits. With Sam stepping down early or not running in 2014 there will be two and Maybe just maybe Three members of council not running just to go after the top spot. ( although at least one of those three is one of the term limits people)

Hey dude - I've got no problem with you changing my quotes if you clearly point out that you are changing the quote - the good 'ol 'fixed it for you 'preceeding the quote. But don't modify my quotes without clearly pointing out that's what you are doing!

Actually Susan Thompson was quite charming, very presentable. There is absolutely no comparison with her and Thomas.

how would her supporters recognize her?

but this really seems to me more like a good way for Lillian to exit civic politics and potentially enter provincial the following year. She probably knows her chances are slim. But it will significantly boost her profile for the following year.

exactly if a former mayor can quit in the middle of a term just to run for Federal office and win... then anything can happen.

nah he quit that... so that a current Provincial guy can quit his post and run without someone like Glen as an opponent.. and get this. Glen is the shoe in for the replacement person to run in the other guys old seat...
