Hagee maintains that Russia and the Arabs will invade Israel and then
will be destroyed by God. This will cause the Antichrist -- the head of
the European Union -- to stir up a confrontation over Israel between
China and the West.
LA: Being a Jew, this idea of Christian Zionism sounds very
much like anti-Semitism. Would you say that Christian Zionism -- and
the whole end-times philosophy -- is anti-Semitic or am I
misunderstanding it?
FS: Yes. The "purpose" of the Jews is to be there
to be killed after the Second Coming. Christian Zionists love Israel
the way oncologists love cancer. It's a good living. Jews who play
footsie with evangelicals in return for the "support" of the State of
Israel are fools.

Funny stuff. Religious nutbars never cease to amaze me. It don't matter where they come from, Iran or USA all religious nutbars are the same. Alot of the christian right ideologies and theories can be found in the Philladelphia Trumpet.

Myself, I see the far right and left, politically are just as crazy as each other. Seeking to impose their views and ideologies on others. How far will they go to accomplish this?

I tried to read some of the "Left Behind" series.....some of the worst writing I have ever encountered. Over the last twenty years of driving throughout the contiguous United States of America I have had many opportunities to listen and sometimes debate and debunk many of the myths that have been introduced and reinforced since the Reagan era, the era that is synonymous with the hijacking of the GOP by the extreme Christian right.....it is scary to say the least what I hear coming from some American's, and now Canadian's, mouths. Theory is taken as fact if presented by a "christian" sanctioned source and all other info is secular or left wing ergo "bad".....i doubt most of these wingnuts have ever read a copy of the National Review, a widely respected centrist and republican leaning magazine. Many of these folks doubtless would consider the venerable Wall Street Journal as a leftist publication and as to the Economist? You do not find that in too many shops in middle America.

The dumbing down of the news, the polarization of political viewpoints and the blind acceptance of "news" as presented by the Limburgers, Becks, Coulters and such as good because it is a 'rightist' POV (who cares if it is accurate?) is at best, tragic and at its worst, fanning the flames of possible dissent in the not-too-distant future.

God bless America and god help America.....the heart of America is in need of a transplant (my quote).

Just so some people don't mis-understand, its not just the right wing that is chock full of nutbars and wingnuts. The far left has just as many.
