we actually have a breadmaker at home somewhere...don't remember if we've ever used it though.

I use to make bread and rolls at Weston Bakeries back in the early 90's does that count?

Take some flour, salt, bacon fat and water and mix them together.
Put some lard in a frying pan (cast iron if you've got one)
Fry up the mixture.
There mitta' been some baking soda in there too.

I made a wine-infused italian round loaf yesterday......gorgeous.....bread machines are horrible.....the hands on approach is always best....mind you, if one has time constraints I guess....

Cast iron frying pan.. OR.. even better wrap it on a stick and cook it over an open flame.
you MUST remember the clip during Sesame Street of the kids and their dad cooking bannock... right?
