If you had not heard, the american president killed a fly that was bugging him during a press conference.

PETA apparently has a problem with that

""We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals," PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. "We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals." "

I think PETA is paid by industrial livestock farming companies to misrepresent animal rights advocates so that mainstream society will never accept even a reasonable animal rights point of view. Either that or they are the most incompetent organization ever created.

Oh my science, I couldn't stop laughing reading that article!

Actually, there was a controversy some years ago about the vice president of PETA, which has diabetes and of course needs drugs to stay alive for long... which of course she uses. Drugs which were developed through animal testing and are produced using animal byproducts.

When asked if she wasn't sort of a hypocrite, she responded that she didn't think she was a hypocrite, because she needed her life to save animals' lives.

If that's not hypocrisy I honestly don't know what is. Wink It's virtually the very definition of hypocrisy as far as I can tell.

What a bunch of drooling retards.

"because she needed her life to save animals' lives."

I love this arguement, because I can twist it to my own advantage!

Its okay for me to eat meat... because I need meat to survive.. and if I did not survive to eat meat, that farmer would not be raising that cow and letting it live for a few years.

WIN!

"It has always seemed strange to me that these systems of theology have no place in them for those kingdoms of life that so vastly outnumber man"

If I ever end up in heaven.. it sure would suck without easy access to KFC or a Big Mac.. like seriously, what would be the point?

Never thought of it that way, but PETA should be thanking all of us who indulge ourselves in enjoying flesh as sustenance. Without us, they wouldn't have a reason to get together and be naked, other than just for the fun of being naked.

I think we should send a personal invitation to the members of PETA to a campfire discussion here in Manitoba.

We'll take them to where we KNOW the mosquitoes are in full force...and see how they react.

Make sure a video camera is rolling through the whole event...so it can be posted online.

If for some reason the mosquitoes aren't biting...we can have a couple swarms of wasps on hand to release...and a couple of bat houses at the ready too.

PETA's interests seem to only be when they can get their name in the papers.

Too bad we can't create a new organization using the same acronym. Kind of like the WWF thing.
