I hope this cold spell kills off all those mosquitos around Dean's house.

What if it also kills off Deank in a rare form of mosquito collateral damage?

Todays high: 2 C, with a mixture of snow and freezing rain. May long is going to suck this year!

Jeez, get over it everyone. Its "unseasonably cool". So what? You going ot crawl back into your caves. Get on with it. Do your yardwork, have a BBQ, go for a walk in the park, wind, rain, snow or whatever. People bitched all winter because it was -20 and they still b1tch. Bunch of sissies.

We once camped in a tent on a May long weekend when the temp was about +16 during the day, but went down to -10 one night.

That was a fun experience. Still haven't completely warmed up from that. Smile

I once camped in a tent in January at -25 during the day and -35 overnight. Have never been the same since.

It wasn't really "camping", but you get the idea.

We really dumbed-out and didn't prepare for it...coulda' used more appropriate clothing and heavier sleeping bags. Ground insulation would have been nice too!! Smile

Ummm, I have it on good authority (my sister's husbands mother-in-laws grand-daughters boyfriends mom) that we are not in fact sissies. Rather we are hardy souls just sickened by ceaseless winter. I double-dog dare ya to refute this.

Think back into your memory folks and ask yourself, when has the May long weekend ever been really warm? Be thankful that we are not getting the 15-20 cm that is starting to fall in Dauphin. A colleague of mine at work is constantly complaining about the same thing and my answer to him is if you don't like the weather here move somewhere warmer. Suck it up and get on with life, it is too short to waste your time bitching.

My wife's sister's sister-in-law's daughter's fiance's parents say that you are a bunch of sissies. How's that!!

No. I will b1tch to my hearts content. I hate when I'm told to "suck it up". Frick you. Life is too short to tell people to suck it up.

There's no place for that sort of thing...it's only okay if you're a wet-vac.

IMHO, Life is too short to b1tch about the weather. Adapt and overcome.

Well, I know of a couple companies that do exactly what I do now. Problem is, I just got accepted through the U of A into the Professional Agrologist certification program. This is a big step in my career, and I can't just throw it away. I'll likely need to do 2-3 more years of work experience here to get my certification, and then I can move on. However, I am interested in purchasing property down there now since it is dirt cheap. I have to speak with a few people to see how viable this option is for me at the moment.

Decisions, decisions. Part in parcel of being an "adult", I suppose.
