Don't tell her this then...things don't actually get recycled here.
You put them in your blue boxes...but the recycling guys don't really take them...they drive by at 20kph...and the trash guys come behind them and pickup whatever's left in the blue bins.

or...camping...there's about 2 dozen provincial parks here to camp in...plus another couple dozen "private" parks for camping.

LOL... you have to move to a different area Ages and least in my area they pick them up. ( and even go through the boxes and remove stuff that is not recyclable some times like small motors and such)

lets not forget TINKER TOWN!...

or visit the various cemetaries ( especially brookside) home of the largest military field of honour in Canada.

and how could we not have mentioned festival du voyaguer yet?

also of a weird ecotourist type of note perhaps would be Garbage hill by Polo Park...

only a local can really enjoy the green machine of April. ..

explain to your swain that poohtown has endured virtually endless killing chill so we can watch in awe the whispiest green explode into fecund field and jungle.

Go for a Kingburger and fries at Mrs Mikes and eat it on a blanket in the park on Tache and St Mary's.

Mrs. Mikes? I assume it is in the Tache/St. Mary's area but where exactly? I drive by there almost every day and I can't recall seeing it.

Actually, if you want a good burger..try The Burger Factory (at least the one at the corner of Panet & Nairn is pretty awesome).

There WAS one on Portage Avenue (out near Wall somewhere).
I've been to that one too, and it wasn't bad...but found the service much too slow.

The one at Panet & Nairn could have 20 people lined up out the door and you're still in/out in less than 15 minutes.

Yup, the one on portage & Wall is now Wall Street Burgers. Haven't been there yet...

I agree with the service on Panet, unreal!

The burgers at the old location on Wall/Portage for The Burger Factory sucked badly. The last time I was there I actually got my money back. ...piece of dried sh1t they tried to pass off as a burger....fricken commie bastards deserved to go broke.

Been there. The food is not bad for a burger joint.

Hike or bike down wellington crescent, through Assiniboine Park, down through Assiniboine Forest (South of Grant you're best to use chalfont for bikes as the trail is quite rough there), then west out the Harte trail, past the perimeter and down to Beaudry park.

The food appeared to be fresh made. That place HOPPED when it first opened. But he last couple visits were less busy. There are dozens of similar burger joints up and down Portage Avenue.
