A Canadian group of lawyers is attempting to have Bush arrested in Calgary as he gives his 1st speach.
http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/George-W_-Bush-to-speak-in-Calgary-on-the-state-of-the-world_-his-time-in-office-41358882.html

There are several charges that could be tried, invading a sovereign country, promoting torture, etc. This lady was interviewed on CBC yesterday. The group will probably be executed by Bush's security staff, if he brings security with im. LOL
I wonder if Harper will be there to defend Bush??
Do you think Harper should be indicted as well?? LOL

Sounds like the economic downturn has left some Calgary lawyers with far too much time on their hands.

There's a "mock" trial happening...nothing "official".

They were talking about it on the CBC today...and it really will have nothing to do with bush (other than some of the mock lawyers are female).

They're hoping to get publicity before he arrives to do his speech...and hoping that he even acknowledges they exist.

Bush spoke to a sell out crowd of 1500, apparently $400 per seat- $600,000 gross. What do they pay him? $250,000??

Ya. I believe that Clinton was getting a mil a pop, and still gets a couple hundred. But George is not too popular and his price is reflective of that I reckon.

Bush has a sense of humour! He said for 8 years he didn't have to pick up crap after hid dog, but now he has to. He was asked when shopping in a Dallas hardware store if he wanted a job as a greeter. Now that is something funny to ask a former President!

Wonder how this man wrote enough or learned enough to speak for 40 minutes.

If you are receiving $250k or $500k for a two hour speech you can afford a slew of talented and creative writers. I absolutely expect he has them. I don't think that bozo could string together three words together in a comprehensible sentence to save his life.

George didn't have to finance his wife's Presidential campaign either. Thats the price you have to pay for one cigar.

Bush's Father back 20 years ago got $100,000 for speaking, I believe Clinton got the same, but I could be wrong. What did the 1500 seats sell for $400? $200. Do the math! 1500x$400= $600,000 less Bush- $250000 Canadian , add another $100,000 for security and then $50 per plate for food. Lots of money left over, I hope!
