This american girl took some nude pics of herself with her cell phone and then sent them to a classmate.

She took pictures of herself and this is considered porn? That is bizarre! It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

If she had gone skinny-dipping with her classmates would that be porn? Would her classmates be charged with pornography also?

Not just porn, child porn. Will be interesting to see if any shades of Grey come out of this.

I would think the classmate would be charged with possession of child porn. unless he/she is the one who ratted her out.

That is weird wonder if she might have been selling them being a minor didn't help this girl was probaly getting paid for them .

The law is pretty clear on this: distributing nudie pics of minors is illegal, regardless of the person's age.

The US Code uses the terms "any person" and "whoever" in its explanation. No age limits are specified.

That's because the "age of a minor" is related to the "age of consent"...and in some states in the US...it's still legal to marry at 14 or 16 years old.

Hey, it wouldn't surpirse me if some states still allow you to marry your next of kin.Nonetheless, child porn laws are more restrictive than age of consent laws. Teens may be able to go at it all they want... so long as they don't record their activities.
