Woman and newborns found dead
Tragic.
Three newborn babies have been found dead -- wrapped in plastic -- in a northeast home.
Calgary homicide cops are investigating the grisly discovery at
280 Taracove Estate Dr. N.E., which began with the death of a
27-year-old woman.
Police were initially called to the home on Sunday by the
woman's common-law husband after he found her unresponsive in the
basement suite they shared.
Cops arrived to find Harsimrat Kahlon -- whom neighbours said had recently looked very pregnant -- dead.
Police said the woman's death was not classified as suspicious, but they don't yet know how she died.
But, sources said, back at the home, the woman's husband later
made the horrifying discovery of an infant's body wrapped in plastic
and hidden in the house.
He called police.
The bodies of two other infants were later found -- also
wrapped in plastic and hidden in the house, said sources. There is said
to be no sign of struggle in the home, nor were there any visible signs
of violence to the bodies. It's believed the infants were not triplets
and were born at separate times.
Tragic.
