Hey all,
I'd like to offer you all the opportunity to attend a unique fundraiser.
A special dinner will be held at the DeLuca Banquet Centre, 950 Portage Avenue
Saturday, April 21, 2012 - 6:00pm (cocktails) & 7:00pm (dinner)
This dinner is a presentation where the chef will actually show you how the dinner is made, and you get to learn and assist as well.
The cost is only $75, and you get a $35 tax receipt as it is for a charitable event.
That $35 is being donated to the Freemasons Milk for Kids Fund (I will post a link to their website soon).
There will also be a draw during the evening, so you may want to bring a few extra dollars for tickets.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
The Milk for Kids Fund was created to "Get Milk in the Kids". Currently, four underprivileged elementary schools in Winnipeg have been sponsored, and all kids who attend the school have access to FREE milk for their breakfast, lunch and after school program(s). This milk is donated by the Freemasons of Manitoba, through various fundraisers and contributions.
Other fundraisers will be coming throughout the year, as the cost of maintaining this program is about $10,000/year with four schools. We are anticipating growing to additional schools as well, and will thus need to ensure we have a good financial base for our program as it moves forward.
If you are interested in attending, or have questions you don't want publicly addressed, please feel free to contact me through this e-mail:
capitollodge136@gmail.com
And I will arrange to get tickets to you.
If you have questions about this, feel free to post here and I'll answer as many as I can.
