Unsustainitoba: A Closer Look at the Province's Books

Frontier Centre for Public Policy, breakfast on Friday..tickets $20 Colin%20CraigGuest Speaker: Colin Craig, Prairie Director (MB and SK) of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation
In 1999, the NDP came to power in Manitoba, inheriting one of the most
stable economies in Canada. The provincial budget was balanced and
revenues were expected to soar over the coming decade; leaving plenty of
room for debt repayment, tax relief and more money for essential
government services. However, since coming to office, the provincial NDP
government has, more often than not, decided to spend new revenues
rather than make difficult choices to control costs and return tax
dollars to taxpayers. In his speech to the Frontier Centre for Public
Policy, Canadian Taxpayers Federation Prairie Director Colin Craig will
examine the unsustainable path our provincial government has chosen to
pursue.
