someone told me that the windows are back ordered because they realized it would be reflecting the sunlight to harshly and potentially causing random heat ray type issues

so they had to tweak the design

apparently its getting to be a fairly common problem with "green" windows

I've heard rumors of the same, but nothing to substantiate.

I do know that when the sun reflects off those and into my offices' windows its almost blinding. And considering the angles of the curved glass, there's a pane of windows reflecting sun light (almost like a magnifying glass) at many buildings downtown at various times of the day.

hah!

all kidding aside it can be a major problem with just residential size windows...multiple windows in the shapes like this ans you csn have fires started and such

especially if we get another crazy hot summer

Ok, I'm not saying I'm buying into this rumor, but shouldn't the death ray effects of the windows being put on a building part of the designers considerations?

They are sorta...but are often ignored.. or a tweak is done after the fact that is against the design... or.. so many ors....

Plus.. hey.. we live in Winterpeg... how bad could it be attitude.

No worries, I'm a robot/mecha geek.

In the later episodes of the show, one faction deployed a weapon called the "Solar System", which basically caught solar rays, focused them with mirrors, and shot the concentrated beam of light at their target.

Bretton Woods

Maybe the architects/engineers should of googled it first. Funny. I have noticed quite the reflection coming off them while driving by at certain times.

It will be cool to go up to the observatory deck once it's finished though. $10, not bad, should be a good view of the city and the skyline.

Ordering the windows from the Dr Evil Glass Company should have been the first indicator of a problem.

the windows not installed yet are to leave openings for the entrance of materials for the upper levels.
the windows are made and ready to be installed...they just aren't ready to put them in yet.

as far as the "death ray" idea...i think with the recent announcement of the water park going in across the street...the true story is that the window system will be used to heat the water park in the winter Wink.
