Winnipeg is home to one of the world's top punk bands, Propagandhi. They put on a killer show. This show is just a day after Damo Suzuki's show and a few days before John K. Samson's solo show. Samson was an early member of Propagandhi. Suzuki is not the host of The Nature of Things.
Punk, metal fans get set to rampage on March 23
WINNIPEG punk and metal fans will now be rampaging at the Burton Cummings Theatre in March.
Red River Rampage will take place at the Burt on March 23 headlined by local political thrash-punk group Propagandhi. Tickets for the show go on sale Thursday for $32 and $37.25. Dreadnaut and Dangercat are also on the bill.
The show was originally scheduled for last summer, but was postponed due to a back injury suffered by Propagandhi bassist Todd Kowalski.
The band is currently in the process of recording the followup to its 2009 release, Supporting Caste.
