Hey folks, I'm excited to be in town for this year's Dine About Winnipeg. Menus are up!

There's a price hike for both categories of prix fixe meals, now $28 and $36 respectively. Still a good deal, though!

Does anyone want to go out for supper?

For new to me restaurants, I'm up for Chop, Sydney's, Bailey's, The Current, Orlando's Seafood Grill, Promenade Bistro, or Hermano's, in that order.

For oldies but goodies sheerly due to what sounds like an awesome menu: Dessert Sinsations and The Maple Tree (Selkirk).

I'd thought the Beachcomber had closed. Maybe changed hands?

I've heard Chop is great.

I must not get out much. I've never been to any of those restaurants.

Anybody remember the Polynesian Room at the Beachcomber? For the time, that place sure had a lot of atmosphere. It's funny how adding a piece of pineapple to the plate made it soooo exotic.

I do, I remember all the tiki torches and I had my first and last Singapore Sling there!

I used to LOVE In Ferno's Bistro, but I find the food and service very unpredictable nowadays.
