I am fairly certain I am not clicking "watch this topic" yet topics keep getting added.

I keep getting email notifications that someone has posted in the Word Association Game topic. Probably something was tripped by the forum provider..?

It is a problem that began today in all forums by our forum supplier. Forum techs are looking into it but don't expect a fix until tomorrow. Apparently you can turn it off in your preferences but will reappear again at some point.

Where is 'preferences' located? ...at the top of the page?

Click the "profile" icon under the banner then select preferences.

Always notify me of replies : YesNo
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.
Change it to No.

Seems the problem has been fixed. If not try this:

Step 1:

Go to your profile -> Preferences Tab

- Always notify me of replies: No
- Notify on new Private Message: No (depending on preference)

Step 2:

Go to your profile -> Topics Watched

- Click on "Select All" or you make a selection selective
- Click on "Stop watching selected topics"

Another trick that might work is to clear your cache.

I got rid of the notifications. same thing with Facebook- finally got rid of those. Sure waisting a lot of ink!
