go ahead .. guess.. I dont think anyone will get it right.

was waiting at a stop for an express bus this morning. And even though the driver was stopped right in front of me because of traffic he refused to open the door. I KNOW its a stop.. and the buses do to because they read it out as you go passed but it was missing the sticker so the asshat refused to open the door.

Just called 311 and advised them of missing sticker... go ahead.. guess how many days they said it might be to get looked at...

anyhoo.... 37 days.. is how long they have to respond. I suspect it will be done before that, probably even by time I go home.. but how is it even allowed that they get a 37 day response time?

I reckon they're hoping that you'll forget about your request.

I've been dealing with "the city" over the Nassau Street North one-way bullcrap, through 311, and they will give you a number for follow up.

However, they hope you'll forget your number, as I did, and have to do it all over.

These bureaucracies need to behave like true customer-service oriented organizations. The days of "there-there Mr. taxpayer" are long over.

Time to get rid of the Transit Union, the Teacher's Union, the Supermarket Union, the Nurses's Union...no use for Unions... No room for big Unions anymore, just have self-responsible, empathetic employees with the same qualities in a foreman/co-ordinator of the work...but they just don't co-ordinate...they actually DO some of the work also, so there is no resentment from ANY employee that they are being 'micromanaged' (like I was).
