Hard to believe how weak Dr. Gerrard sounds. Talks in empty rhetoric like a pro. Who writes his notes?

Not super impressed with any of these jokers.

I am sick or hearing accusations, finger pointing and never ever an idea or solution to anything from either of them (I discount Gerrard as he doesn't have a chance imo)

It was pretty lame imo. Mcfayden got in one good shot...about Sellinger wanting to debate Filmon or Weir...but it was mostly rhetoric, as Trinni says.

Well, it's "platforms to follow" for now.

So, they have a leaders debate, put on by the teachers union, and, SURPRISE, a few days later, Selinger makes an announcement that they will limit classroom size, and the biggest beneficiary is.....wait for it....the teachers, as they will have to hire more.

Good to see that the Dippers haven't forgotten how to pander to their biggest supporters, the unions.

Have faith that the rest of us outnumber these blatantly self-serving union types. The way things are going - these types, including the politicians who dance for them, should start practicing ducking. They will learn that new step the hard way soon - when the world is in a depression and they are still demanding increases from hungry taxpayers. In fact - we're already there. That's the sentiment that will drive a Conservative takeover in 29 days. Here - and around the world. Increasingly.

Unions are very important to control the bad owners of large business', and to allow for a living wage to be paid to families!

Does anyone remember the 1919 Winnipeg Strike, when workers were being paid 4 cents an hour?

Smaller classrooms benefit the students more than the teachers, in my opinion!

Those early strikes are not comparable in our modern world of human and employment rights. Today's unions are self-serving power-centres that peddle influence for favour. The rest of us know that as racketeering. Still not sure how unions have not been legislated against in that area - let alone allowed to commandeer politics and elections. They're left-wing bed partners.

Coincidentally, I'm now watching the CNN GOP Republican Presidential candidates debate and one of the three questions they're each being asked pertains to the issue of unions in America including having to join them. All so far, in essence have stated that they believe unions to be "corrupt" and that they need to be legislated out of the political arena - and further. About damn time. I was beginning to think we had entered Bizarroworld and with no hope of exit.
